Since the 1978–79 school year, El Cargol nursery school has been a benchmark in Terrassa for its respectful approach towards the youngest children. Our journey has taught us that educating in early childhood means supporting each child’s own pace through play, the body and the emotions.
From our home on Carrer Isaac Peral, we enjoy a privileged setting opposite Sant Jordi Park, a space that lets us enrich our project with moments of outdoor discovery. We are a community where school and family walk together, building a bond of trust and affection to grow step by step.
At our nursery school we have a range of common areas designed to enrich the children’s daily life.
We also have a versatile multipurpose room that we transform according to the needs of the moment: a psychomotor space to encourage movement and coordination, a free-experimentation space to discover and create, or a meeting place to celebrate birthdays and festivities in a joyful, shared atmosphere.

We have facilities designed and built for the wellbeing and care of the youngest children, in compliance with the regulations that govern us. All our facilities are on a single floor with no stairs, and all the rooms connect to one another to encourage closeness with the children.
The classrooms are spacious, bright, with direct access to the playground and adapted to each age group. Each classroom is designed with various safety systems focused on protecting the children.
We have an open-air outdoor space, fitted with different play elements that offer great educational opportunities. We encourage not only lively movement but also curiosity, privacy, calm and the time needed for play to develop in both its physical and symbolic dimensions.
We have a sand workshop with a sandpit and a small vegetable garden, allowing children to experiment, handle materials and discover the natural world through play and exploration.
We have our own dining room and kitchen, fully adapted and equipped, where we offer home-cooked, locally sourced food prepared daily on site. The menus guarantee healthy, balanced food adapted to each age group.
We cater to special diets, intolerances and allergies, and to the introduction of new foods into the children’s diet, providing healthy, safe and locally sourced meals.
We safeguard and support breastfeeding and its accompaniment.
